Refurbishment of a 9 storey RC framed building and an adjacent connected Grade II listed office building in the City of London.

Works included the demolition of a large section of the ground and lower floors to the front of the building in order to provide a large reception space, as part of these works the ground floor was lowered and 2 large internal columns where removed to make the reception as column free as possible, in order to facilitate the column removal large transfer beams were designed that could not only carry the load but could be manoeuvred into a restricted space and installed safely. Other works related to the alteration of the vertical circulation cores providing double entry access at some levels; inclusions of mezzanine levels and partial demolition and significant alteration of existing plant areas at roof level.
